FRONT ROW WITH NEIMAN MARCUS
The Dugud team had another front row seat as Neiman Marcus sat down with their team for a stylish video series. Filmed in the historic downtown Dallas flagship store, we chatted with Sonia, Alice, Tim and Jodi as they walked us through what they wore to the Fashion Week shows. Check out the full videos below.
A MONTH OF FASHION
September is known all over the world as the month for fashion. Designers from all over the globe showcase their Spring lines and give us a glimpse into what we can look forward to as we shop our favorite retailers.
We partnered with Neiman Marcus and a few of their top stylists like Katie Salter and Robyn Chauvin to bring the style and trends of each city to life. The Dugud team curated a two-day shoot in their new Hudson Yards store located in New York City. Although fashion month is over, the videos help us to remember what’s on the horizon - the glitz, glam, bold prints, and effortless styles - for Spring 2020.
The key to New York style is looking classic yet comfortable all at the same time. Katie S. takes us through how to pair a Veronica Beard blazers with a basic tee and denim. She feels it’s the ultimate way to achieve a sleek and stylish look without being overly trendy. We put together a video that brought together trends that are specific to NYC.
In Milan we find bold and risky style. Robyn C. is always thinking about the extra details to match what she’s sure to find as she steps off the plane in Italy. She feels that Milan designers, like Gucci or Dolce & Gabbana, do a great job of “taking risks in fashion, while celebrating the woman’s figure.”
Chris T. takes us though the key elements of London style - items that can transition and are also effortless. London has both traditional and edgy style so he feels a designer like Burberry creates looks that are “playfully refined.” The Dugud team curated a video that was able to reflect the styles of London and what would be worn to the runways shows in the Queen’s city.
We followed Maya S. as she prepared for Paris Fashion Week. She explains that Parisian fashion is all about finding your core wardrobe and adding in accessories for texture and shine. Designers like Balmain have created iconic, timeless, and elegant style through tailored blazers and accents.
We created the style videos with Neiman Marcus ambassadors to give the viewers a glance into what they might see guests wearing to runway shows. All of the beautiful fashion trends for Fall 2019.
We also created recap videos after each city’s shows with live footage from the Spring 2020 runways. It gave a front row seat to some of the most exclusive shows from each city. We highlighted unique trends that showed up across designers and shows - everything from leather accents, bold gold logos, and head-to-toe prints. Enjoy a few peeks into what you can expect this upcoming Spring (2020).
FROM RUNWAYS TO HALLWAYS
School is officially back in session and so are the fall fashions taking over the runways and hallways. For this season’s shoot we wanted to bring some fun and flare to people’s everyday wardrobe.
Our collaboration with Macerich Shopping Centers recreated looks from the season's top designers - such as Fendi, Versace, and Phillip Lim. We wanted to mix together high and low fashion to meet a variety of price points. Our hope was to inspire consumers to invest in key pieces that would update their wardrobe with versatility. With a nod to the 80s comedy, Heathers, we created throwback looks that are all about prep with an accurate amount of bougie. Ascots, the power shoulder, and layered sports coats create this signature look.
The Dugud Lab team hit the ground running for a two-day shoot in New York City with locations sprawling from a gorgeous Instagrammable loft in Soho to a new, hip wine bar in Brooklyn, Tailfeather. The perfect locations to explore what will be a trend that influences fall fashion - camp. Thanks to this year’s Met Gala theme, fashion takes a deeper dive into the abrupt, extravagant, and over-the-top. Graphic messages, dramatic asymmetrical cuts, inserting feathers in unexpected ways, oversized bows, and playing with scale are the easiest ways to translate to your everyday wardrobe. Ultimately we set out to capture looks that are perfect for any fall social gathering or adorned on the coolest kid on the playground.
WORKED IT! A LOOK BACK ON SEASON 3
That’s a wrap on Season 3 of “Work It” with Carrie Kerpen. We feel incredibly thankful to have been part of revamping this season. We sat in rooms with so many inspirational women making their mark in each of their respective industries. From authors and business owners to working moms, we helped to create a space where they could share their stories and hopefully bring some inspiration to people all over. We’ve come a long way from the start of the season!
This season, we traveled to LA, Chicago, and NYC to find and create spaces that capture and tell these stories in a new and engaging way. Dugud helped take this show outside the Likeable office and create a formula that lives out in the world. We designed the show intro and transitions to help stylize the show. Additionally, we offered beauty and wardrobe teams for Mrs. Kerpen and guests as well as set design to create interesting backdrops and elevate the show’s aesthetic.
Let’s take a peak at the powerful 15 women interviewed this season - women like Luvvie Ajayi, Kate Kimmerle, and Lourds Lane, just to name a few. These women shared wisdom on being enough just as you are, ways to feel your best, and speaking the truth always. Join us as we take a look back into season 3 and all of the hard work put in by the entire crew.
Below are individual teasers from each guest’s episode of Work It! Season 3.
JUST DO GOOD
The Dugud crew spent a week at Nike’s World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. We met with dozens of employees to help tell the story of why people should apply to Nike. The company has a culture of do-ers, hence their tagline “just do it.” As Dugud-ers, we carried this sentiment with us as we roamed the 286-acre campus with over 75 buildings, many named after athletes that made an impact in their sport as well as society. Check out the full videos below and get inspired.
A BLUEPRINT FOR BUDAPEST
After visiting their NYC offices, we rejoined the BlackRock financial team - this time at their technology hub in Budapest, Hungary. We traveled the city to interview the Head of BlackRock Budapest, Melanie Seymour, who talked to us about intellectual curiosity. She, along with several other employees like Gabor Karmo and Dasha Hargreave, discuss the ways BlackRock is reimagining and reshaping Hungary. One way is by bringing nationals back home with opportunity.
Our team scouted their brand new state-of-the-art facilities and produced the employee videos featured below. The videos are a recruitment tool for BlackRock to use as a way to bring young technologically savvy professionals back home to the country. The team sailed with Janos Csak, who shared with us how BlackRock’s orientation process helped him hone in on his craft to be the best possible employee. We even took the Budapest subway with Ferenc Nagy and went on his morning commute to see another side of Budapest.
Watch how Budapest designs homecoming below and catch our previous BlackRock x Dugud Lab work here.
BRINGING BOLD BACK
We’re helping bring back Season 3 of Carrie Kerpen’s Facebook Watch show Work It, in a bold way. Our co-founder and Creative Director, Zack McDowell, led the crew to sunny California to begin filming of the new season. The show already has two successful seasons under its belt, and now our partnership with Kerpen's company, Likeable, will take the show on the road for this next season. Carrie, author of the book the show’s named after, filled the room with successful leaders who offered amazing advice and good vibes only. The camera carried on as guests pulled us in with their motivating stories and secrets for success in business & life.
Some of this season’s guests include: Marisa Thalberg from Taco Bell, Shiza Shahid co-founder of The Malala Fund, Shannon Petranoff from Paramount, and many more powerhouse women. Each episode will feature interviews that share these women’s secrets to success in their respective careers, all from taking risks to managing life as a working parent.

THE FUTURE OF WORK
Last summer, we had the pleasure of working on a series with The We Company (formerly WeWork). We first traveled to their headquarters in San Francisco to meet John Hjelmstad, the VP of Engineering. He sat with us to talk technology and how their company wants to help people “make a fife, not just a living,” through community & technological advances. Our crew traveled back to New York to visit one of WeWork’s many Manhattan offices. Several employees echoed the same sentiments as John, sharing their experiences with the company. Director of Culture Operations, Anita Shannon, emphasized the culture at WeWork and their commitment to empowering people to pursue entrepreneurship.
“Culture - the energy that surrounds us.”
One thing that really struck us was how Anita described what she considers culture - "the energy that surrounds us." Her main priority is to create a work environment that is proactive in evolving culture through diversity, support, and systematic happiness for the community at WeWork to flourish. Our team was happy to handle production and post-production for such an inspiring bunch of enterpreneurs.
We’ll help you work out your eyes with the series below. Let us know what you think in the comments.
